Live like its your last

Untitled-147

Well, this has been a very interesting week I have to admit. Among the key lesson I have learnt is that life can be very short. On Tuesday a friend of mine, died in a freak accident, when she slid and fell from an indoor exercise treadmill.

On Tuesday morning just like every other morning, she woke up, and got into her jogging gear and went to their indoor exercise machine to work out a bit. Little did she know that she would not finish the 1km jog she does everyday, because that’s where she met her death. Well, as the story is going, the last person to use the treadmill left it on a fast high pace mode. So the moment carol stepped on it, unaware of the speed mode it had been set to, pushed the start button and the machine jolted her throwing her backwards, where she hit her head on the edge of a stool.

Hearing the news came as quite a shock to me. At first I thought it was a joke that was going around, but sadly she did pass away and will have a requiem mass this weekend which I will attend to give my last respects.

This is a lesson to all of you reading this now, that being alive is a blessing and that you should cherish every moment you have here on earth, and strive to make the world a better place for you, me and future generations.
